50mm Awesomeness - Stuck Shutter Photography

50mm Awesomeness

Earlier, I made a post about updating my work to stay fresh and relevant. Today, I want to talk about my current favorite lens, the Nikkor 50mm f/1.8! This thing is tack sharp and I love the versatility of this focal length. In the photo above, is my son which I took while we were hiking around the FlatIrons in Boulder, Colorado. Using this lens, I can get up close and cause an ultra shallow depth of field, or I can stand far away and get the whole scene, and everything in between.

I took this photograph while I was walking around my college campus. This woman was sitting on a bench and I couldn't get over how interesting her face was. Also, she just has the kindest eyes! Seriously, go back up and take a look! But, I digress, this is once again using my 50mm lens. Be prepared for more 50mm Awesomeness in the future!
