Day 8

November 20, 2016

Hi Friends,

Today was super fun!  We hiked the majority of the Trail of Ten Falls.  In total, the trail is 8.7 miles. We did just shy of 7 miles and saw 7 out of the 10 falls.  It was a truly amazing hike.

There is the proof and here is the most picturesque waterfall of the whole hike, in my opinion.

The best part of the trail is the fact that it goes behind most of the falls.  While it is awesome, it's not the most hospitable location for a digital camera.  I tried to take pictures back there, but water builds up on your lens almost instantly, ruining the image.  Anyway, here is the first waterfall you see when you start this trail.

In addition to waterfalls, this trail has many bridges.  Each with their own personality.

Regardless of the picturesqueness (huh...I guess that's a real this is a great place to go and experience with your significant other or close friends.

After completing this hike, we jumped back into the car and changed our plans.  Originally, we were going to drive through the Mt. Hood National Forest area and whatnot.  Instead, we decided to head back to the coast in order to experience all the thing that we may have skipped over when we were driving through earlier in the week.  Also, I want to do some fishing in the Pacific.  So, we're now back in Lincoln City, Oregon and will be heading back down south towards the Redwoods. I will be sure to keep you up to date on the next few days as this trip comes to an end.

Thanks for sticking with me!
